Art. 9 ECHR

The prisoner was required to give evidence of his religious conversion during detention in order to be allowed to receive meals compatible with his faith. This approach violates art. 9 ECHR, since it constitutes an illegitimate interference with the right of the individual to freely manifest his own religion.
